Hello again, readers. Back from the grave, I've scanned a gifted copy of the 97 DAP catalogue/zine. This is quite an interesting relic highlighting the current happenings of projects active among the trinity of the dark age towers. Lots of fun things to read here with numerous descriptions of things that were in the works, many of which didn't seem ever materialize, at least as far as the internet knows. Multiple sublabels planned, very lofty special editions with included books, vinyl, shirts, and more conjured as mirages on the horizon. Some noted releases here did come to fruition such as Valor, a No Festival of Light reissue, and the first full Nythra tape (which will make a long awaited appearance on this blog eventually.) The ambition here from Bard is admirable and its heartwarming that DAP has persisted to the current day. For the uninitiated, do yourself a large favor and checkout the back-catalogue of DAP releases (and the newer works as well!) Some essential and legendary works from the 90s golden age of ds and medieval dark ambient/ncdw, eventually resurfacing as rips on the essential Asmodian Coven blog years ago that paved the way for the modern DS revival.
